Community Outreach Seminar: "Prevention is Better than Cure"
In line with May University’s commitment to its social responsibility and its ongoing efforts to raise health awareness within the community, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Physical Therapy, in collaboration with the Misr Public Library, organized a seminar titled:
"Prevention is Better than Cure"
The event took place in celebration of World Physical Therapy Day on September 8, 2022.
The seminar addressed several important health topics, including:
Prevention of spinal pain
Awareness of osteoarthritis
Health and safety guidelines for school backpacks
In addition, participants received postural and spinal assessments, emphasizing the importance of early detection and preventive care to support a healthier community.
This event reflects the Faculty’s dedication to community engagement and health education, promoting better quality of life through knowledge and early intervention.
