About the Role
The English Language Instructor supports students’ academic success at May University in Cairo by delivering English courses that strengthen core academic communication skills required across university disciplines. The role focuses on enabling students to study, research, write, and present effectively in English within a higher-education context.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach English courses aligned with MUC’s English Language Program outcomes
• Develop students’ academic writing, speaking, reading, listening, and presentation skills
• Prepare and assess coursework assessment materials.
• Provide constructive feedback to support student progress
• Promote critical thinking and interactive classroom learning
• Use educational technology and LMS platforms to enhance teaching and assessment
• Maintain accurate academic records and attendance
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental activities
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
Teaching certification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience teaching English at the university or tertiary level is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of academic English and ESP (English for Specific Purposes) is a plus.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
