Welcome Note

I am privileged to serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy at May University in Cairo (MUC), where the new students will take their first steps toward the Physical Therapy profession.

In today’s competitive and globalized world, having a professional and specialized education is imperative for future success. We, at the Faculty of Physical Therapy in MCU, boast a dedicated staff committed to providing an excellent academic experience in the field of Physical Therapy, seeking a vibrant student body.

The physical therapy faculty will be committed to serving the public community on the 15th of May city through a high-quality Physical Therapy practice. We are also committed to enriching the body of knowledge via highly applied research to ensure the ongoing improvement of the practice of physical therapists.

At the Faculty of Physical Therapy, we provide personalized, top-graded education delivered by experienced & well-qualified faculty staff. We employ a problem-based, self-directed approach to learning, using a hands-on application for the students to integrate theory with clinical knowledge.

Scientific Departments

To obtain a bachelor's degree in physical therapy, the student must achieve the following:

• The minimum total number of credit hours for graduation is 193 credit hours, including general culture requirements, college requirements, specialization requirements, and university requirements. Each requirement contains compulsory courses and elective courses as stated in the study plan attached to the regulations.
• The minimum study period for obtaining a bachelor's degree is five years (ten semesters) at the college.

University requirements: 

• they are courses that aim to build the graduate’s cultural personality - develop his personal skills and general awareness of community issues and focus on identity and connection to the homeland - and the teaching hours for these courses should not be less than 6 to 10% of the contact hours.

College requirements:

• They represent the minimum knowledge and skills that a graduate must have from basic medical sciences and basic physical therapy sciences in all disciplines.
