MUC Signs Strategic Letter of Intent with Italian Partners gamian consulting
The International Education Office at May University in Cairo (MUC) is pleased to announce the formal signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) with two prominent Italian entities: Gamian Consulting and the Calabrian Institute of International Policies (IsCaPI). The signing ceremony took place in Belvedere Marittimo, Italy, on July 11, 2025, marking a key milestone in MUC’s growing portfolio of global academic partnerships and international engagement.
This agreement reflects a shared commitment to establishing a structured cooperation aimed at promoting inclusive education, innovation, and intercultural dialogue. It emphasizes the importance of bridging academic and professional spheres across the Arab Republic of Egypt and Italy, while drawing on the expertise and strategic positioning of the Calabrian partners within the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The cooperation focuses on five major objectives:
-
Launching specialized training programs, seminars, and workshops hosted in both Egypt and Italy;
-
Creating new mobility pathways for students and young graduates, with a focus on applied, field-based learning experiences such as internships, company visits, and job shadowing;
-
Undertaking joint technical consultancy and applied research in mutually relevant areas, including sustainable development, innovation, and entrepreneurship;
-
Supporting capacity-building and skills development, especially among youth, professionals, and emerging leaders;
-
Fostering academic, institutional, and cultural ties that support Euro-Mediterranean integration and mutual understanding.
The activities under this cooperation will be implemented progressively, both at MUC’s campuses in Egypt and at Gamian Consulting’s operational facilities in Italy, with contributions from IsCaPI, which will provide strategic oversight and alignment with broader European cooperation frameworks.
The partnership will also explore the development of joint initiatives, including the co-design of academic content, knowledge-sharing platforms, and joint participation in EU-funded programs and international forums.
Importantly, the Letter of Intent lays the groundwork for the future formalization of a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC). This forthcoming agreement will define in detail the priorities, roles, and operational modalities of the proposed activities.
This strategic engagement highlights MUC’s mission to enhance its role as a forward-looking, internationally connected institution that values excellence, partnerships, and global citizenship.
